Fife Home Birth Group
Our history |
Our group started informally but began to form more in ernest following the withdrawal of the Home Birth Service in 2011.
You can read more about that here: www.maytreearch.com/closure-of-fife-home-birth-service-in-2011.html Following this successful campaign in 2011 a more coherent group was formed which continues to this present day. We enjoy a great working relationship with NHS Fife and were thrilled when there was a dedicated NHS Fife Birth at Home Service launched. Get your tissues ready for joyful tears as you can see the launch here: www.youtube.com/watch?v=o64kn6iHICg Since the NHS Fife Birth at Home team have launched the Fife Home Birth Group has also grown in number as families are finding their plans are more supported with the system. It is an absolute joy to manage the group and give this positive feedback. |
Is the group right for me? |
The peer group is for those who are planning a home birth in Fife (Scotland) or wish to join to share their experience of such a home birth in order to support others.
This enables us to maintain a safe space for people to share such personal aspects of their lives in confidence allowing for authentic support. We have met in a variety of ways at different locations including online. Please follow this link to join: www.facebook.com/groups/Fife.online.hb.support If you are not on Facebook please let me know and I will ensure that you are invited to the next meeting. Just click CONTACT at the top and I will be in touch. I'm here for you. |
