Located in Fife, Scotland. I also cover Stirling, Perth, West and Mid Lothian. Support is also available via one to one video conference nationally and internationally.
This is an exciting time in your life and a cause for celebration. You want to build good memories. It can also be overwhelming. Everyone deserves support.
My services are in addition to any clinical assistance that you may have chosen such as midwife and obstetrician. I would support you emotionally and physically throughout this time in a way that would be special and unique to you.
Women deserve the very best of health for themselves and for their babies. There is no set "right way" to give birth. I fully support informed choice. The pregnancy, birth and postnatal period is not a "one size fits all". I have helped many people at consultant led hospital based births, midwifery led units and at home births.
Each woman and each child can be completely different, it is part of the beauty of what it is to be human. I support a woman in her own unique way.
I enjoy a good working relationship with NHS staff, afterall we are all part of your support team.
I am a member of the PVG scheme providing full disclosure.
For a number of years I have also offered a mentoring service for those in birth work.
I understand that familiar non-judgemental support from a known person is very important indeed.
